Walden Behavioral Care opened its comprehensive Eating Disorders Program in Braintree at Grossman Drive, Suite 404 in January 2012 after many discussions with individuals and practitioners, in Braintree and nearby communities, who confirmed the urgent need for eating disorders treatment programs in the area.
The programs provided at the clinic include:
- Partial Hospitalization
- Intensive Outpatient
- Adolescent After School (IOP)
- Comprehensive/Second Opinion evaluations
Additional programs will be offered as the need presents itself.
Program Descriptions:
Adult PHP Program:
- 3-4 week program, five days/week
- Group Programs including cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, interpersonal and family therapies along with psychopharmacology and nutritional therapies
Eligibility:
- Male or Female
- Ages 18 and older
- Medically stable
Adult IOP Program:
- 4-6 week program, three evenings/week
- Group programs include cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy and nutrition and expressive therapy
Eligibility:
- Male or Female
- 18 years or older
- Does not require a hospital level of care
- Actively working with an outpatient team
Adolescent After School (IOP) Program:
- 6-8 week program, three evenings/week
- Each family has a weekly family session, either directly before or after program
- Each client has an individual clinical administration meeting to review progress and tailor specific interventions
- Parents attend two group therapy sessions weekly
- Adolescents attend six group therapy sessions weekly
- Families attend three dinners weekly
Eligibility:
- Male or Female
- Ages 12-17 and their families
- Medically stable
