Job Title: Mental Health Counselor - Full/Part Time, Nights

Location: Waltham

Job Summary
The Mental Health Counselor provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or Program Director. Primary responsibilities include:

• The provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu including crisis intervention
• Assisting patients with activities of daily living
• Behavior management and completion of assignments

Full-time and part-time positions available, with shifts including days, evenings and nights

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field or high school diploma with 4 years relevant experience in the psychiatric field.

Desired Experience
One year experience working within a psychiatric, eating disorder or residential setting preferred. Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training.
