Position Details

Job Title: Dietitian - Part Time

Location: Waltham

Job Summary
Walden Behavioral Care is currently seeking a part time (16 HPW) dietitian for our treatment team. The dietitian provides clinical nutrition and dietary plans in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support long term recovery. Nutritionists at Walden offer personalized nutrition care plans through individual assessments, counseling and follow up. In addition, this position includes the opportunity to participate in developing educational materials and implementing group programs for patients and families.

Education
Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or related subject from an accredited college or university. Candidate has completed an ADA approved dietetic internship and maintains current ADA registration and Massachusetts licensure.

Desired Experience
2 years experience in nutritional counseling preferred, but entry level candidates will be considered. Experience preferred in providing direct nutritional care in an Eating Disorder Service and mental health. Strong clinical, organizational and communication skills; ability to function well in a fast paced mental health/eating disorder environment and to collaborate with medical, nursing and multidisciplinary treatment team.

License/Certification
R.D. License Required, B.A. or M.S. in Nutrition from an accredited nutritional education program
