Expressive Therapy Coordinator

We are currently seeking a full time Expressive Therapy Coordinator for out Inpatient Units in Waltham, MA. The Coordinator of Group Programming reports to the Assistance Vice President of Program Development and Training and is responsible for coverage and programming development for the inpatient group program. This includes skills based trainings, designated activity groups and process oriented groups for individuals on both the Thoreau Adult Unit and the Alcott Eating Disorder Unit. The Coordinator will be a member of the treatment team and attend team meetings when able, as well as serve as an individual resource for identified patients when recommended by the patient’s treatment team.

We are currently seeking a Clinician in our Adolescent IOP Program that will be opening in Amherst, MA with the relocation of our Northampton Clinic. To be successful, candidates must be experienced in family therapy, behaviorally oriented, high energy, and enthusiastic about learning. We are currently seeking a Clinician to work primarily in our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) with opportunities for consultation in other levels of care. The adolescent continuum of care at Walden Behavioral Care emphasizes family involvement in the treatment of eating disorders. To be successful, candidates must be experienced in family therapy, behaviorally oriented, energetic, and enthusiastic about continuous learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing therapy and case management in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care and professional ethical guidelines. This candidate will be responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments, group and family therapy, treatment planning, utilization review, discharge planning/case management, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources. Utilization Review Clinician

This position conducts the Utilization Review functions for eating disorder patients and psychiatric patients in their designated program(s) for all MCOs. These functions include, but are not limited to: obtaining medical necessity approval for initial authorization and continued stay; completing peer to peer reviews as licensure allows, participating in Utilization Review Committee functions, team meetings, and treatment team conferences with third party payors; managing all the utilization review data functions and presenting the information to the Director of Utilization Management, Vice President, Clinical Operations and the Utilization Review Committee; managing length of stay and assessing the changes on a monthly basis; and contributing to the decrease of Peer to Peer reviews through the initial comprehensive clinical case management discussion.
