Registered Nurse/Clinical Leader Job Summary at Walden Behavioral Care

The Registered Nurse/Clinical Leader provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Leader coordinates and delegates nurses utilizing the nursing process which is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Leader is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Leader may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.

Clinical Nurse Specialist Education, Experience and Knowledge Requirements at Walden Behavioral Care

Candidates applying for the position of Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse Leader should possess a degree from an accredited nursing program, with licensure and registration by the Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.

Candidates for the Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse position must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management and CPR training.
