Adult Inpatient Eating Disorder Program
The First Step to Recovery
Walden’s Adult Inpatient Eating Disorder Treatment Program provides adults with the most intensive level of care. The program is a structured, medically monitored, therapeutic program for females and males 18 years of age or older who require 24 hour medical management as they start their step-by-step journey toward recovery from an eating disorder. At this acute level of care, patients are slowly stabilized both medically and behaviorally. During this process, vital signs are monitored frequently and 24 hour nursing care is provided. Another key component of the program is providing education to the adult on eating disorders and proper nutrition with the aim of reducing anxiety, promoting coping skills, and restoring hope for recovery. Once the stabilization process is complete, plans are made to advance the patient to a less intense level of care.
