Adult Inpatient Mood Disorder Program

Walden’s Adult Inpatient Mood Disorders Program provides a structured, medically monitored, therapeutic program for adults requiring 24 hour nursing care as they learn to manage their mood disorder. Patients receive a diagnostic evaluation and participate in evidence-based individual and group therapies designed to teach them new coping skills, provide them with support and educate them about their mood and comorbid disorders. The program staff recognizes that mood disorders are usually recurrent and therefore require long-term management. Therefore, an essential element of the program is vigorous aftercare planning with active participation of the patient, their loved ones and their outpatient clinicians.
