I am glad you have found your way here. My wish is that  my recovery reflections will give you hope, strength and guidance on your own recovery path, so you can find the freedom you deserve… all without Ed.

A little about me, the author. My name is Cheryl and I am recovered from Anorexia. I am the author of “Telling Ed No! and Other Practical Tools to Conquer Your Eating Disorder and Find Freedom” (Gurze Books). My distorted thoughts began when I was five and my eating disorder (Ed) stayed with me until age 37. Ed was by my side every day telling me what to do, how to do it, what to eat, what not to eat, where to go, what to say and so much more. After a family intervention, I decided to commit to my life and my recovery and entered Walden in March of 2006. Walden gave me the foundation to build upon and helped me find me. Today, I am finally free.

No matter your age or how long you have struggled, you can recover and leave Ed for good. Recovery brings you a life of pure freedom all without guilt, rules or shame. With hard work, commitment and patience, you can recover too. Take what you need from these blogs and put it to work for you and leave the rest behind.

Don’t give up and always believe in yourself and your recovery. You deserve it and you can do it. Believe!

With hope, love and strength,
Cheryl
